Morrison Cohen launches healthcare and wellness practice
Morrison Cohen opened a healthcare and wellness division to serve clients operating at the intersection of medical services and consumer lifestyle products. Partners Randi Mason, Latisha Thompson, and Andy Bank will guide the New York practice through transactions, disputes, property deals, and regulatory matters.
The group represents telemedicine companies, fitness applications, physician offices, medical spas, gyms and wellness product makers. Mason said boundaries between medical and consumer sectors have dissolved as concierge practices, wellness centers and supplement manufacturers target consumers seeking to extend healthy lifespans rather than treat illnesses.
Healthcare and telemedicine rank among the five fastest-expanding legal specialties. The nation’s 100 largest firms grew their healthcare attorney ranks by 43 percent since 2023. Foley and Lardner, McDermott Will and Emery and Jones Day have built teams in these areas.
Morrison Cohen started its luxury brands practice last year as part of efforts to match capabilities with investor-backed growth sectors.
