MTN Rwanda launches Anti-DDoS to protect firms
MTN Rwanda introduced a cybersecurity service on Wednesday aimed at shielding local companies from distributed denial of service incidents that can cripple digital operations. The telecommunications provider said the new protection system will help enterprises maintain secure network access as cyber threats grow more complex across the region.
Chief executive Monzer A. told attendees at a launch ceremony that the operator seeks to support a connected society through reliable and innovative infrastructure. He added that the defense tool is meant to bolster digital strength and allow organizations to operate without disruption. Company representative Didas Ndoli said businesses will remain online and protected as transformation efforts expand throughout Rwanda.
The platform watches for irregular traffic flows and blocks malicious data floods while permitting authorized users to reach websites and servers normally. It provides round-the-clock automated safeguards with instant monitoring and can scale to fit any enterprise size. Financial institutions, online retailers, medical facilities, government agencies, and small firms offering web-based services stand to gain from the offering. A dedicated security operations center will deliver ongoing assistance and quick action during active attacks to prevent downtime.
