TelOne launches digital calling app
TelOne has introduced TelOne Connect, a smartphone and desktop platform that allows Zimbabweans to access landline services through digital channels without traditional infrastructure. The telecommunications company positions the locally built system as resistant to vandalism and weather damage that typically affects physical telephone lines.
Company leadership presented the platform as aligned with Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030 economic development targets, emphasizing its potential to enable mobile entrepreneurship and broader digital participation. TelOne reports having overhauled customer onboarding procedures and support operations to streamline activation and improve user experience for both individual subscribers and commercial clients operating in mobile environments.
