NCC to host Nigeria’s inaugural digital awareness forum
The Nigerian Communications Commission will convene the first Digital Awareness and Sensitization Fora on November 13, 2025, addressing infrastructure development and policy coordination to reduce barriers in accessing digital services. The session titled Leaving No One Behind: Digital Assets, Equity, and Empowerment brings together regulators, academics, private sector representatives, and development organizations to examine the deployment of affordable connectivity and literacy programs benefiting underserved populations across the nation, serving more than 140 million internet users.
Collaborative partners include the Universal Service Provision Fund, National Orientation Agency, Association of Telecommunications Operators of Nigeria, Korea International Cooperation Agency, and the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities, among multiple government and civil society entities. Panel discussions and technology exhibitions will showcase fintech applications and student innovations through programming accessible via livestream at scf.ncc.gov.ng for nationwide participation, supporting economic inclusion objectives.
