NHAI to display toll pass details
India’s National Highways Authority ordered field offices to post details about local monthly and annual toll passes at all collection plazas. Signs must appear in English, Hindi, and regional languages at approach roads, service areas, and exit points for 30 days. The agency will publish the information through its mobile application and project websites to reach more users.
Private vehicle owners living within 20 kilometers of a plaza can obtain monthly passes by providing identification, vehicle registration, and address verification at help desks. An annual pass costs 3,000 rupees and works at about 1,150 plazas across highways and expressways nationwide. The yearly option allows 200 crossings or remains valid for 12 months after activation through the digital payment system attached to vehicles.
