Nigeria-China partnership to build smart homes
A Chinese construction firm will partner with a Nigerian developer to build twin 25-story towers and 30,000 solar homes under an agreement backed by the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership. Brains and Hammers joined with Hunan Hengke Group to create mixed-use complexes featuring hotel and residential units while manufacturing building materials locally.
The initiative targets job creation and technology sharing through domestic production of glass, roofing and electrical components. Partnership Director-General Joseph Tegbe praised the venture and stressed the importance of quality standards for what organizers described as the capital city’s tallest and most advanced structures.
The collaboration supports national priorities by advancing affordable, sustainable construction methods. Officials said the projects advance mutual economic benefits between the two nations.
