Nobel chief hails India, but demands more curiosity
An executive from the Nobel Foundation praised the energy and inquisitiveness displayed by participants at a science dialogue event held in Bengaluru, describing the gathering as a meaningful exchange between laureates and local audiences. Hanna Stjärne, who serves as executive director of the foundation, told reporters that the session demonstrated how collaborative learning shapes future progress.
The discussion brought prize recipients together with students and researchers at the Indian Institute of Science, where questions flowed freely during the program that ran from mid-morning through early afternoon. Stjärne noted the volume of inquiries exceeded available time and expressed anticipation for similar engagement at a Mumbai session scheduled for the following day.
The event, titled The Future We Want, created connections between international scientific leaders and young minds from across the country. Stjärne highlighted the partnership that enabled the program and commended the commitment to knowledge sharing evident among attendees.
