Ooredoo teams with Aduna to expand global API reach
Ooredoo Group has partnered with Aduna, a global Network API aggregator, to offer its standardized telecom APIs to businesses worldwide through a single platform. The move enables banks, fintech firms, e-commerce companies, and digital service providers to integrate Ooredoo’s APIs for identity verification, SIM swap detection, KYC, payments, and communications—streamlining secure, cross-border digital transactions without complex local integrations.
This collaboration supports Ooredoo’s strategy to participate in the global API economy by transforming network capabilities into scalable business solutions. Built on GSMA’s CAMARA standards for open telecom APIs, the partnership connects Ooredoo’s API portfolio to Aduna’s global aggregation layer, simplifying access for developers and enterprises across borders and sectors.
Ooredoo operating companies will be gradually onboarded to the Aduna platform through 2027, creating a unified entry point for global businesses seeking Ooredoo’s digital services. Rene Werner, Ooredoo’s Group Chief Strategy Officer and Acting Group Chief Commercial Officer, said the initiative turns network intelligence into practical value. Aduna CEO Anthony Bartolo added that the partnership accelerates innovation by linking standardization with global distribution, expanding Aduna’s reach in the Middle East and North Africa.
