du joins Bridge Alliance to boost UAE IoT innovation
Bridge Alliance has added du as its first member operator in the United Arab Emirates, following the signing of a membership agreement at GITEX GLOBAL 2025 in Dubai. The partnership will focus on advancing the Internet of Things (IoT) business in the UAE and fostering knowledge exchange on IoT best practices.
Bridge Alliance, recognized for facilitating cross-operator collaboration among over 35 global telecom providers, offers strong IoT expertise and an extensive footprint in the Asia Pacific region. Du, a leader in UAE digital transformation through 5G-Advanced, mobile, broadband, ICT, infrastructure, and fintech services, will enhance Bridge Alliance’s presence in the Middle East—complementing its existing ties with stc in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia.
The alliance offers mutual benefits: du gains access to global IoT solutions and enterprise opportunities in the Asia Pacific, while Bridge Alliance expands its reach into the UAE market. Enterprises in the Asia Pacific requiring IoT connectivity in the UAE can collaborate with du, while UAE-based businesses seeking coverage across the APAC region can partner with Bridge Alliance.
“Joining Bridge Alliance marks a key step in du’s global innovation strategy,” said Karim Benkirane, Chief Commercial Officer at du. Bridge Alliance CEO Dr. Ong Geok Chwee added that du’s market strength and technological approach make it a valuable addition to the alliance’s worldwide network.
