Sagar Cements sinks after weak Q2 results
Sagar Cements’ stock dropped nearly 4 percent on Friday after the Telangana company released results for the September 2025 quarter. Shares hit an intraday low of 232.9 rupees on the National Stock Exchange as investors reacted to weaker sequential performance. The cement maker posted a loss of 44.17 crore rupees compared with a profit of 74.9 crore rupees in the previous three months.
Revenue fell 10 percent from the prior quarter to 601.86 crore rupees as plant shutdowns reduced production capacity. The Dachepalli facility installed new equipment while the Mattampally plant underwent maintenance in September. Lower clinker inventory and a 5 percent volume decline contributed to the quarterly loss. Employee compensation costs rose after the company completed annual salary reviews effective from April 1.
