Samsung revives delayed Galaxy S26 Edge
Samsung plans to release an ultra-thin Galaxy S26 Edge smartphone months after launching standard models in 2026, according to Netherlands outlet GalaxyClub. The company develops the device under the internal name More Slim and appears to have abandoned a less extreme thin model originally planned for the lineup.
The South Korean manufacturer will introduce Galaxy S26 Pro, Plus, and Ultra versions early in 2026, with the Edge variant added later in the year. Samsung may use silicon-carbon batteries to maintain capacity while achieving minimal thickness. The Plus model returns to the product line after a previous absence.
Apple faces reported difficulties with its thin iPhone Air design. Samsung seemingly responded by canceling its moderate thin phone and pursuing a more aggressive design as a distinguishing feature. The Edge could replace the Galaxy S26 FE in the company’s product strategy.
