Sleaford Mods announce The Demise Of Planet X with Aldous Harding, Snowy, Sue Tompkins
British electronic duo Sleaford Mods will release The Demise Of Planet X in January through Rough Trade. Andrew Fearn and Jason Williamson collaborated with multiple artists, including Aldous Harding and Sue Tompkins, across 13 tracks. The first single, The Good Life, features actor Gwendoline Christie and the band Big Special, accompanied by a video directed by Ben Wheatley. Williamson described the album as reflecting widespread uncertainty after years of global conflicts and pandemic trauma. The record addresses music industry corruption while examining modern digital culture’s impact on society. The January 16 release follows their previous work on national stagnation, offering updated commentary on contemporary warfare and the evolution of social media.
