Thermal Grizzly’s Wireview Pro II prevents GPU overheating
Thermal Grizzly released a monitoring device designed to prevent power connector failures on graphics cards that consume extreme amounts of electricity. The Wireview Pro II attaches between a power supply cable and the 12V-2×6 or 12VHPWR socket found on recent Nvidia models. These connections have occasionally melted when the electrical load is distributed unevenly across individual pins.
The adapter tracks amperage through all six power lines and displays measurements on a small screen. An alert triggers if any single pin exceeds 9.5 amps. Users can connect the device to their computer with an optional cable that automatically powers down the system when overheating or imbalanced current occurs. A built-in fan cools the connector area while onboard storage records nearly 12 months of power data at one-minute intervals. This logging feature helps enthusiasts analyze how electrical demands shift during different tasks.
Thermal Grizzly offers a two-year replacement guarantee for any graphics card damaged through proper use of the Wireview Pro II, extending beyond standard manufacturer coverage. The device sells for $99 through pre-order, though initial inventory has sold out. Additional units will become available by late January as graphics processors increasingly draw 600 watts or more.
