UNDP Malawi starts digital skills training for blind
UNDP Malawi has joined forces with the ST Foundation and the Malawi Government to initiate a 15-day training program designed to teach digital skills to people with visual impairments. The sessions are taking place at the Malawi School of Government’s Kanengo Campus, where participants will gain experience with assistive technologies meant to enhance their autonomy and create new opportunities.
Speakers at the opening ceremony emphasized how collaborative efforts and innovation that include everyone can help build a fairer digital landscape. The program demonstrates a collective dedication to ensuring people of all abilities can succeed as technology becomes increasingly central to daily life.
