Zain crowned top MENA telco on Forbes list
Zain earned the top telecommunications employer ranking in the Middle East and North Africa on the 2025 Forbes World’s Best Employers list. The company took first place in Kuwait and reached the top three across all sectors in the region. Forbes based its assessment on feedback from more than 300,000 workers at 900 organizations in over 50 countries.
The telecommunications firm received an A rating from Morgan Stanley Capital International for environmental, social, and governance practices in September 2025. Zain runs its business through a five-year plan called 4WARD-Progress with Purpose that aligns human resources and diversity programs with the United Nations development goals. The company created a Chief Purpose Human Resources Officer position to connect employee ambitions with business objectives.
Zain launched UNITY to embed customer focus throughout operations and introduced programs for mental health support and workplace accessibility. The firm partnered with IE University in Spain to create an inclusion and diversity institution that serves 2,000 employees. Zain set a goal to raise women in leadership roles to 25 percent through its WE and NOVA programs.
