ARC Raiders hits 250K players, reveals 2025 roadmap
Embark Studios’ new extraction shooter ARC Raiders launched yesterday to a strong start, drawing more than 250,000 concurrent players on Steam—surpassing both the platform’s previous record for the genre and Embark’s own prior title, The Finals, in launch-day player count.
The studio wasted no time building momentum, unveiling its 2025 roadmap just one day after release. Although exact dates are not specified, two major updates are planned to be released before the end of the year. November’s update will introduce a new map called Stella Montis, fresh quests, community events, and two new enemy types—the ARC Matriarch and Shredder. December’s seasonal drop will introduce Snowfall as a dynamic map condition, a new expedition, and an additional raider deck, all designed to match the holiday atmosphere.
In a blog post, Embark expressed gratitude to players and emphasized its commitment to evolving the game based on community feedback. “This is only the beginning of what is in store for ARC Raiders,” the team wrote. A first hotfix has already been deployed to address minor server and animation issues, and early reports indicate smooth performance—an impressive achievement for an indie developer managing a large-scale online launch.
