Trump hails NVIDIA for US-made Blackwell chip
President Donald Trump plans to meet Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang in South Korea this week to recognize the company’s semiconductor manufacturing milestone. The president announced the meeting while speaking with business leaders in Tokyo and will congratulate Huang on producing the first Blackwell chip wafer at a Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company facility in Arizona.
The discussion comes as Washington and Beijing finalize a trade agreement that could reduce tensions between the nations. Nvidia lost substantial market share in China after American export restrictions cut off its access to the region. Huang delivers a keynote address in Washington shortly before the presidential meeting.
