Assassin’s Creed Shadows lands on Switch 2 December
Ubisoft will release Assassin’s Creed Shadows for Nintendo Switch 2 on Tuesday, Dec. 2. Game director Charles Benoit said players can explore feudal Japan as characters Naoe or Yasuke on the portable console. The publisher revealed the launch date via a YouTube roadmap outlining forthcoming updates, including advanced parkour mechanics and additional story missions.
The Switch 2 edition supports cross-platform progression through Ubisoft Connect but excludes the paid Claws of Awaji expansion until 2026. Physical copies contain game activation cards rather than cartridges. The release marks the first product from Vantage Studios, a subsidiary Ubisoft created this year to manage its Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six properties.
