Bangladesh, Japan deepen ties in ICT engineer training
Japan and Bangladesh joined forces on Monday to strengthen software engineering training through a seminar at the ICT Tower in Dhaka. The event brought together officials from the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Bangladesh Computer Council and the Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services.
Three professors from Japan’s National Institute of Informatics attended the gathering to discuss the Bangladesh Top Software Engineer program. The initiative mirrors Japan’s TopSE model and trains engineers to manage large software projects. Professor Shinichi Honiden founded the original Japanese program.
Representatives from the Japanese Embassy and JICA’s Bangladesh office stressed the need for continued partnerships between the nations. The program aims to produce skilled professionals who can drive innovation in Bangladesh’s technology sector.
