Cisco goes nuclear with NVIDIA AI power
Cisco announced new technology on Tuesday to help companies build faster networks for artificial intelligence systems. The equipment maker partnered with NVIDIA to develop data center switches and security tools for AI computing.
The companies released the Cisco N9100 switch, powered by NVIDIA chips, for cloud providers building AI infrastructure. They also introduced security software that monitors AI systems and protects company data in real time.
Cisco added new servers with NVIDIA graphics processors for training AI models. The hardware works with Kubernetes software to manage computing workloads across multiple machines.
The firms demonstrated wireless technology for future mobile networks that combines radio signals with AI processing. The system uses Cisco network software and NVIDIA computing platforms to create smarter cellular infrastructure for next-generation phones.
