XP Music Futures returns to Riyadh in 2025
The XP Music Futures Conference will hold its fifth edition in Riyadh’s JAX District. Organized by MDLBEAST, the event focuses on the Middle East and North Africa’s music sector through industry sessions and live performances. Nada Alhelabi, General Manager at the MDLBEAST Foundation, described reaching the five-year mark as a significant milestone for the regional music scene. She noted the event has grown into a global platform for artists and industry leaders.
This year’s conference will highlight India as a featured country. Announced performers include Zeyne, Shamma Hamdan, Aziz Maraka, and Bab L’Bluz, alongside sets from Sama Abdul Hadi and artists from MDLBEAST Records. The agenda is structured around four central pillars: talent, scene, impact, and innovation. The conference collaborates with the Saudi Music Commission to develop local talent. Paul Pacifico, the Commission’s CEO, stated that the partnership empowers artists and strengthens the industry’s professional foundations.
Several associated programs will also take place. These include the HUNNA initiative for women, the Sound Futures startup forum, and the XPERFORM vocal competition, whose winner will perform at SOUNDSTORM 2025. The PWR CHORD guitar contest will also return, judged by figures including Gus G. and Faisal Alamy. The venue will host brand activations, a dance battle, and a market featuring regional fashion.
