Customs Port Harcourt hits N247b revenue
Nigeria’s customs authority in Port Harcourt has exceeded its annual revenue goal by more than 31 billion naira after collecting 247 billion naira during the first 10 months of 2025. Comptroller Salamatu Atuluku disclosed the figures at a media briefing, noting that the command’s performance represented a 51 percent increase compared to the 164 billion naira gathered in the same period last year.
Collections for October reached 33 billion naira, marking the highest single-month total in the command’s history and reflecting a 272 percent jump from the 9 billion naira recorded in the corresponding month of 2024. The Port Harcourt Command 1 had been assigned an annual target of 216 billion naira with monthly expectations averaging approximately 18 billion naira.
Atuluku credited the results to enhanced operational efficiency and measures that reduced revenue losses while supporting legitimate commerce. The performance demonstrates steady gains in customs administration at one of the country’s major trade points.
