Dairibord targets expansion and efficiency for growth
Dairibord Holdings reported a decline in profit after tax from $3.06 million to $1.2 million during its half-year period, though the Zimbabwean dairy producer plans to pursue expansion initiatives and operational efficiency improvements. The company processed 31.1 million liters of raw milk across nine months, representing 35 percent of national production, while cumulative revenue climbed 7 percent to reach $111.8 million.
Sales volumes increased 13 percent over the nine months, with beverages advancing 22 percent and foods growing 20 percent, although liquid milk products declined 5 percent. The firm attributed its performance to market conditions shaped by informal sector growth and weaker formal retail activity.
Dairibord leadership expressed confidence that strategic priorities focusing on capacity expansion, cost optimization, and product innovation would support improved performance over the medium and long term.
