DeepCool’s ASSASSIN VC ELITE hunts heat
DeepCool will release its ASSASSIN VC ELITE air cooler in Japan on Thursday, Oct. 31, for $171. The dual-tower unit features vapor chamber technology that spreads heat across the base surface and supports processors consuming up to 300 watts.
The cooler uses 140-millimeter and 120-millimeter fans that switch between performance and quiet settings via a manual switch. Performance mode runs the fans at 1,800 and 1,700 rotations per minute, while quiet mode reduces them to 1,450 and 1,350 rotations per minute.
The system fits Intel LGA1851, LGA1700 and AMD AM5 sockets while measuring 164 millimeters tall and weighing 1.77 kilograms. The manufacturer provides a six-year warranty and supplies a bracket for optional third-fan installation.
