Ecobank tunes up Zimbabwe unity drive
Ecobank Zimbabwe has launched Vault of Voices, a pan-African choir competition aimed at promoting unity, diversity, and inclusion through music. The four-month initiative supports the bank’s corporate social responsibility goals by spotlighting talent from underserved communities across the country. It offers a national stage for choirs and singers who might otherwise go unnoticed.
Auditions closed on October 15, 2025, drawing strong interest from groups across the nation. Ecobank Zimbabwe said the response reflected deep community engagement and aligned with its commitment to Ubuntu and Zimbabwe’s cultural heritage. The bank described the project as more than a contest—it is a platform to amplify hidden voices and strengthen social bonds.
The competition now moves to live auditions, leading to a grand finale in January 2026. Organizers plan a major televised showcase to broadcast the winning performances to households across Zimbabwe. Vault of Voices aims to build national pride and reinforce Ecobank’s vision of shared African progress through collective expression.
