Halo – Campaign Evolved to debut on PlayStation
Halo: Campaign Evolved will deliver substantial graphical upgrades over the original game and its Anniversary edition, as shown in comparison footage posted online after the announcement at Halo WCC. YouTube creator Cycu1 assembled videos showing the Unreal Engine 5 remake alongside recreated sequences from both previous versions, revealing dramatic improvements in visual quality for the classic shooter.
The remake shifts away from mimicking the atmosphere of the 2001 release and presents a new interpretation that may divide fans. Beyond enhanced graphics, the game adds three prequel missions, four-player cooperative gameplay and sprint mechanics. The project excludes multiplayer elements from the source material.
Microsoft will release Halo: Campaign Evolved in 2026 for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, personal computers and PlayStation systems. The PlayStation debut continues the company’s approach of bringing former exclusive titles to competing platforms.
