K-water showcases AI water tech to Luxembourg delegation
K-water displayed its artificial intelligence water management systems to Luxembourg business leaders on Tuesday at its Daejeon headquarters. The 20-member delegation from Business Federation Luxembourg toured an AI purification plant, digital twin control center and satellite flood forecasting network. Korea joined Horizon Europe as an associate member, with backing from the Luxembourg Embassy, allowing K-water to lead joint international projects.
CEO Yun Seog-dae said the collaboration advances water security through hyper-intelligent AI innovation amid the climate crisis. The state utility integrates satellite data, AI analytics and generative AI models for next-generation resource operations. Its digital twin technology operates in Saudi Arabia and Japan as a climate resilience tool. Luxembourg delegation head Alex Shumann welcomed practical cooperation centered on Korean water technologies to support his nation’s digital transition.
