Corsair fires back with 14,900 MBs SSD
Corsair released two PCIe 5.0 solid-state drives that deliver sequential read speeds reaching 14,900 megabytes per second, matching claims from competitor Team Group. The MP700 PRO XT achieves 14,500 megabytes per second for write operations, surpassing Team Group’s Z54E, which topped out at 14,000 megabytes per second.
The company’s second product, the MP700 MICRO, features a compact M.2 2242 form factor suitable for laptops and handheld gaming systems. This drive provides read speeds of 10,000 megabytes per second and write speeds of 8,000 megabytes per second, with capacities up to 4 terabytes.
The MP700 PRO XT costs $159 for 1 terabyte, $240 for 2 terabytes and $459 for 4 terabytes. Both models are available through authorized retailers with five-year warranties, and additional capacity options will be available in early 2026.
