Microsoft AI Tour hits Dubai with skills push
Microsoft has expanded its global AI education initiative with a new program in the United Arab Emirates, aiming to equip over 250,000 students and faculty and more than 55,000 government employees with artificial intelligence skills. The announcement was made during the Dubai edition of the company’s global AI Tour, which convenes industry and government leaders to explore AI-driven innovation.
The company’s Vice Chair and President, Brad Smith, highlighted Microsoft’s substantial financial investment in the UAE and its ongoing collaboration with local partners, including G42. A separate initiative with the JAHIZ platform will provide AI training for tens of thousands of federal government employees. These efforts are part of a broader commitment to support the nation’s long-term vision for a technology-driven economy and to foster local talent development.
