TCS, Sybyl and iXAfrica plan Kenya cloud
A strategic partnership between Tata Consultancy Services, Sybyl, and iXAfrica will establish sovereign cloud infrastructure in Kenya and other East African nations. This collaboration aims to provide governments and businesses with secure, locally hosted cloud solutions that comply with national data residency laws. The initiative is designed to support Africa’s digital transformation by ensuring data remains within the continent.
Tata Consultancy Services will supply its Sovereign Secure Cloud platform, while Sybyl will manage local implementation and customer support. The infrastructure will be hosted within iXAfrica’s data center campus. Company executives stated that the partnership would address urgent needs for data sovereignty, create local employment, and position East Africa as a technology hub.
