Lagride rolls out Omni shared ride for group travel
Lagride introduced the Omni service targeting corporate entities, religious institutions and educational facilities through climate-controlled vehicles accommodating six passengers at rates below standard taxi fares. Chairman Diana Chen stated the initiative advances transportation equity, while Acting Managing Director Jubril Arogundade emphasized that direct routing without intermediate passenger pickups distinguishes the platform from conventional minibus operations.
The company plans to recruit 1,000 drivers for professional certification through its academy, developed with Lagos State Government participation. Reservations process through mobile application or messaging service with payment options including organizational accounts and booking arrangements. Each vehicle features location tracking technology and operators trained in customer service protocols.
