Newmont appoints Danquah Addo-Yobo as Ghana Country Manager
Newmont appointed Danquah Addo-Yobo to lead operations in Ghana, effective October 1, as part of a reorganization that merged African and Asian business units. The mining company created the Africa Asia Pacific division to consolidate regional management and strengthen partnerships at the national level.
Addo-Yobo manages company strategy and operational continuity across Newmont’s Ghana facilities. He previously directed financial operations for Newmont in Africa and Canada, following executive positions at Yara International, where he ran Western African operations and led business expansion.
The executive worked for more than 20 years across mining, telecommunications, and logistics in multiple countries. He held senior finance and commercial roles at Maersk and Vodafone before joining agricultural firms and resource extraction companies operating across three continents.
