Nigeria and Denmark sign MoU to boost digital cooperation and innovation
Nigeria and Denmark signed a digital cooperation agreement that covers artificial intelligence, connectivity, and infrastructure development. Communications Minister Bosun Tijani said the memorandum creates opportunities for Nigerian technology workers to collaborate with Danish firms through remote positions and exchanges.
Denmark committed 12 million euros through the European Union to support Nigeria’s 3 Million Technical Talent program that trains digital professionals. Danish State Secretary for Trade Lina Gandlose Hansen confirmed her government’s plans to strengthen collaboration in the innovation and connectivity sectors.
The partnership will advance broadband networks and test digital governance systems across Nigeria. Both nations emphasized their shared goals of building technology-based economies through sustainable practices and mutual cooperation.
