Noctua teases NH-D15 G2 chromax.black cooler
Noctua has teased a chromax.black variant of its NH-D15 G2 flagship dual-tower CPU cooler through social media posts displaying a silhouette of the product in matte black finish. The standard version launched earlier with redesigned heatpipe configuration and updated fin geometry, representing the first substantial revision to the D15 platform in nearly ten years.
The chromax.black series maintains identical thermal performance while replacing the manufacturer’s signature brown and tan color scheme with dark coating across heatsinks, heatpipes and fans. A matching black edition of the NF-A14x25 G2 140mm fan is also planned for release during the same period, according to the company’s product roadmap.
Noctua typically publishes teasers shortly before formal product announcements, suggesting an imminent launch that aligns with previously outlined fourth quarter targets for both cooling components.
