Reliance, Meta launch AI joint venture in India
Reliance Industries and Meta formed a joint venture on Saturday to deliver artificial intelligence services to Indian businesses. The partnership created Reliance Enterprise Intelligence Limited with combined startup funding of 855 crore rupees to build and sell corporate AI tools across the country.
Reliance Intelligence secured a 70 percent stake, while Facebook Overseas took the remaining 30 percent. The venture will offer cloud-based platforms allowing companies to customize AI models for sales, marketing, customer support and financial operations.
Meta contributes its Llama technology while Reliance provides access to thousands of Indian enterprises through its digital networks. The companies plan to deploy solutions across cloud, local server and mixed computing environments to lower implementation costs for clients.
