Saudi AI fraud detection startup Rased closes pre-seed round
Saudi Arabian artificial intelligence firm Rased secured pre-seed capital from lead investors Wa’ed Ventures and Shorooq Partners to expand its real-time fraud detection platform serving financial institutions. The 2022 startup founded by Talal Al-Badrani and Mustafa Al-Salhi analyzes behavioral patterns and device indicators within milliseconds to flag suspicious transactions while maintaining compliance with Saudi Central Bank requirements and preserving seamless customer interactions.
The system employs machine learning algorithms that adapt to user conduct, reducing incorrect fraud alerts compared with conventional rule-based approaches, while providing case management tools that integrate through application programming interfaces or software development kits. Rased currently operates across Saudi Arabia with plans to enter additional Gulf Cooperation Council markets using its scalable infrastructure designed for digitally focused enterprises, including banks, fintech companies and regulatory authorities.
