Sierra Leone postal service, GIGL ink logistics MOU
Sierra Leone’s government signed an agreement with SALPOST and GIG Logistics to upgrade mail and delivery systems. Minister Salima Monorma Bah joined SALPOST Director General Sulaiman Kanu and GIG executives Sebastine Osita and Enahoro Okhae for the ceremony. The partnership will digitize parcel tracking and expand courier options for residents and companies.
SALPOST joined the Universal Postal Union in 1961 and became a government corporation in 1990. The collaboration aims to train workers in logistics practices and generate employment opportunities. GIG plans to add transport and mobility services later as part of broader technology initiatives across the nation.
