Silent Hill 2 remake haunts Xbox next
The Silent Hill 2 remake is headed to Xbox Series X and Series S, according to a new ESRB rating that surfaced ahead of an official announcement. The listing confirms the game will carry a Mature 17+ rating, consistent with its previously released versions on PC and PlayStation 5, and reveals no new content.
Developed by Bloober Team, the remake revitalized the long-dormant survival horror series and has been widely praised as one of the genre’s standout titles in recent years. Its arrival on Xbox consoles follows hints from industry leaker Dusk Golem, who also indicated that the Born of a Wish DLC is being remade and that a patch for the PlayStation 5 Pro is in the works. These updates are expected to align with the marketing push for the upcoming film Return to Silent Hill, scheduled for theatrical release on January 23, 2026.
