Simon Dunmore launches NBT Records with Armada Music in London
Dance music veteran Simon Dunmore has formed a joint venture with Armada Music to create NBT Records. The new label will focus on soulful dance tracks and operate from Armada’s 7,000-square-foot London facility that opened recently. The space contains recording studios and dedicated areas for talent evaluation.
Dunmore emphasized his commitment to discovering emerging talent within the global soul music scene. Armada CEO Maykel Piron noted their 25-year professional relationship made the partnership natural. The label plans to release its first recordings in 2026.
Armada has been actively expanding through its BEAT Music Fund investment vehicle. Recent acquisitions comprise the complete master catalog from Mixmash Records and a substantial portion of producer Tiga’s work. These catalogs feature multiple tracks that have achieved tens of millions of streams on digital platforms.
