Togo and Mozambique sign cybersecurity pact to boost resilience
Togo and Mozambique have established a formal cybersecurity partnership through a memorandum of understanding that creates operational frameworks for incident response coordination and digital threat management across African territories. The agreement was finalized as Mozambique launched its first International Cybersecurity Week, enabling structured information exchanges between national Computer Security Incident Response Teams while supporting collaborative capacity development initiatives.
Togo brings advanced capabilities reflected in a strong ITU Global Cybersecurity Index performance, while Mozambique contributes to expanding infrastructure and regional priorities to the bilateral arrangement. Cyber Defense Africa, operating Togo’s national CERT.tg platform, will manage technical cooperation elements, including threat intelligence distribution, secure communication establishment between response teams, and joint training program implementation designed to address evolving regional security challenges through coordinated action mechanisms.
