UDB leads Uganda’s participation at COP30 in Brazil
Uganda Development Bank Limited (UDB) is the lead sponsor of the Ugandan Pavilion at COP30, taking place from November 10 to 21 in Belém, Brazil. The bank announced its role during the pre-COP30 National Forum at Silver Springs Hotel, where it signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote Uganda’s investment opportunities in climate-aligned sectors such as renewable energy, climate-smart agriculture, and green manufacturing.
This marks UDB’s third consecutive year at COP, where it aims to mobilize funding for green projects. UDB will showcase flagship initiatives, host panel sessions, and collaborate with partners to drive sustainable development. The bank also aims to close the green financing gap in Uganda through its Climate Finance Facility.
