Wekembe traders call on Museveni to investigate missing Shs100M
Traders in Wekembe Market have called on President Yoweri Museveni to investigate the alleged mismanagement of Shs100 million donated in 2016 to support their Sacco. Despite the announcement nearly a decade ago, none of the traders have received any of the funds, leading to accusations of a lack of transparency and accountability.
Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo, head of the Office of the NRM National Chairperson, visited the market and acknowledged the issue, pledging to inform the President. She advised traders to form a new, properly registered Sacco to ensure future support reaches the intended beneficiaries.
