Viltrox AF 9mm f/2.8 Air heads to Fujifilm cameras
Viltrox plans to release its AF 9mm f/2.8 Air lens for Fujifilm X-mount cameras after making versions for Sony E-mount and Nikon Z-mount systems. The ultra-wide lens sells for under $200 and provides a 13.5mm full-frame equivalent focal length for APS-C sensors.
The lens uses an STM motor for quiet autofocus and applies HD multilayer nano coating to reduce ghosting and flare. It features a maximum aperture of f/2.8, a minimum focusing distance of 5.1 inches and accepts 58mm filters. The optical design contains three extra-low dispersion elements, three high-refractive elements and two aspherical elements.
Photographers can use the lens for landscapes, street scenes and interior spaces. The company has followed a pattern of adding Fujifilm mount options after initial product launches. Reports suggest the Fujifilm version will arrive soon.
