Tilta’s new battery plate promises easier setups
Tilta launched a camera mounting system that eliminates the need for conventional baseplates and 15mm rods. The Mini PD V-Mount Battery Plate with Adjustable ARCA Receiver connects via a DJI-standard ARCA Quick Release Plate or compatible camera cage.
The device extends to adjust the distance between the battery and the camera body and features a swivel hinge for angle adjustments. It supports V-Mount batteries and provides power through a 60W PD USB-C port, P-Tap connection and 2-Pin Lemo output.
Built-in strap slots secure the V-Mount battery with an attached safety strap, preventing accidental removal. The plate contains 1/4-inch-20 and M4 threads on top for mounting with adapters or articulating arms.
Tilta sells the battery plate through its website for $45 to $139. The company designed the product to help production teams work more efficiently on set.
