Vitel Wireless debuts smart network for Nigeria teams
Vitel Wireless has rolled out its telecommunications platform across Nigeria, targeting businesses with a system that merges conventional GSM networks and cloud-based technology to cut costs while boosting team coordination. Executive Chairman Kenneth Nwabueze described the service as designed to address communication expenses and operational challenges faced by enterprises of all sizes, from logistics firms to hospitals and startups.
The company’s Closed User Group package supports up to 50 users with no-charge internal calls and text messages between devices, alongside reduced data rates and round-the-clock automated attendant features. Additional tools include SecureMe, a user-activated safety application that provides location tracking, and Oga-App, which uses GPS to confirm employee attendance and generate performance analytics. Head of Product Marketing Chiobi Ben Odera emphasized that the Location Awareness Technology platform gives organizations real-time oversight of staff movements and assets while enhancing productivity and professional branding.
