Milk & Honey Records launches in Los Angeles with songwriter master points
Milk & Honey has expanded from managing songwriters and producers into operating a record label. The Los Angeles company announced Milk & Honey Records on October 21 with distribution through The Orchard. The new venture focuses on pop and dance music while offering songwriters double-digit master recording points.
Founder Lucas Keller says major labels currently block songwriters from receiving master points. The label will accept single-track deals and provide transparent marketing arrangements. Industry veteran Dana Shayegan will lead operations after working at iHeartRadio and other companies.
The firm employs teams handling electronic dance music and creative development. Milk & Honey clients earned 19 Grammy nominations for 2025. The company expects to reach 60 staff members by year’s end.
