Blessed Riverstones denies gold fraud allegations
A Ugandan mining firm denied fraud accusations against its chief executive on Friday. Blessed Riverstones Uganda said Kasongo Mwana Kitenge Deo made false claims about delivering gold and paying money to the company. The Congolese man works with his wife and has deceived multiple investors with fake metals and forged papers.
Simon Obel Omondi from the mining company said authorities found no proof that Kasongo owned gold or brought it into the country legally. Director Adrien Musavuli called Kasongo a broker who pretends to speak for mining groups in Congo. The firm contacted government units to address the matter.
Blessed Riverstones operates from an office in Kigoowa and handles its legitimate business deals through proper channels. Chief executive Jailes Bahati Mumbere remains healthy and manages operations. The company warned people to ignore false reports from criminals trying to damage its reputation.
