Cameroon attends WTDC 25 in Baku for digital policy
Cameroon’s telecommunications regulator is participating in a global development conference taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan, where Professor PhilĂ©mon Zoo Zame leads discussions on digital infrastructure advancement and regulatory frameworks. The gathering at the Baku Convention Center addresses connectivity gaps, online security measures, internet expansion, and technology integration across the agricultural, healthcare, and educational sectors.
Representatives from the Telecommunications Regulatory Agency prepared for the event through coordination meetings held across multiple African cities, resulting in unified continental proposals. Domestic preparation involved collaboration among four government entities, including ANTIC, SUP’PTIC, and CAMTEL, through structured working sessions.
Conference outcomes are expected to strengthen local innovation systems, expand infrastructure networks, and create employment pathways targeting rural communities, women, and youth entrepreneurs while positioning Cameroon as an active contributor to international telecommunications policy development.
