Codefest Nigeria targets Guinness record
Codefest Nigeria Hackathon Award and Expo 2025 seeks entry into the Guinness World Records as the longest and largest participation event of its kind. The competition started on October 1 and will finish on November 20 at the University of Lagos campus in Yaba. More than 100 teams spent seven days developing technology solutions for 24 challenges across finance, farming, medicine, schools, weather, and other areas. Twelve finalist groups will demonstrate their work to judges and business leaders.
Participants worked without breaks to build prototypes using artificial intelligence and blockchain systems. Mentors such as Dr. Adesina Adewale and Morgan Victor guided teams from concept through completion. Organizations from Europe and Germany joined Nigerian partners to support the program. The awards ceremony will connect developers with investors seeking to fund new ventures.
