Dhanuka profits wilt in weak quarter
Dhanuka Agritech Limited reported a 20 per cent year-on-year decline in net profit for the second quarter of the financial year 2025–26, the company said on Friday. Net profit fell to Rs 94 crore in the September quarter from Rs 117.5 crore a year earlier. Revenue from operations dropped 8.6 per cent to Rs 598.2 crore, down from Rs 654.3 crore in the same period last fiscal.
EBITDA decreased 14.4 per cent to Rs 136.6 crore, and operating margin narrowed to 22.84 per cent from 24.39 per cent. Following the results, the company’s shares declined 6.25 percent on the National Stock Exchange, closing at Rs 1,366.
Earlier in the year, Dhanuka Agritech had projected 14–15 per cent revenue growth for FY26, citing a strong monsoon and robust demand during the July–September period, which typically sees peak agrochemical use. The company, a major Indian producer of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides, serves over 10 million farmers nationwide and emphasizes innovation and sustainable farming.
